The Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center (SVAMC) and the Association Française de Droit de l’Informatique et de la Télécommunication (AFDIT) are hosting a Paris Arbitration Week forum on Thursday 9 July to discuss experts in technology arbitrations.
The event will look at how arbitral tribunals can get the technical expertise they need to properly adjudicate a dispute. They will also explore the methods proposed by arbitration institutions to get expert testimony before tribunals in addition to the different approaches common law and civil law arbitrators and counsel use.
The event includes a panel discussion featuring David McIlwaine (Pinsent Masons), Lawrence Akka QC (Twenty Essex) and Yves Léon, Expert (Board member AFDIT). It will be moderated Stan Putter (Conway & Partners).
