It is with great sadness that members of 20 Essex Street learned of the death of Sir Christopher Staughton on 15 October 2014.
Associated with Chambers for over 50 years, Sir Christopher is remembered as an outstanding advocate and generous professional colleague and friend. His career at the Bar and, subsequently, as both a judge at the High Court and latterly as a Lord Justice of the Court of Appeal, reflected his outstanding intellect, unerring judgment and utter professionalism. His contribution to Chambers’ reputation has been immeasurable.
Members’ thoughts are with Sir Christopher’s family at this sad time.
