YMP Singapore & Twenty Essex Street Breakfast seminar

Defects in a series of vessels: key legal issues under the SAJ Form

YMP Singapore and Twenty Essex Street will be hosting a breakfast seminar on Friday 7 June 2019 in the newly refurbished dispute resolution hub, Maxwell Chambers Suites in Singapore.

The seminar considers the legal issues that arise under the SAJ Form where a buyer accepts delivery of the first vessel in a series following a successful sea trial but demonstrates defects in operation, including:

  • a review of guarantee claims
  • rejecting delivery of subsequent vessels
  • the obligation to provide refund guarantees
  • the obligation to continue paying installments
  • terminating for delay
  • the requirement to give notice to move the original delivery date
