Yves Fortier QC is to chair enforcement committee at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)

Yves Fortier QC is to chair a newly formed enforcement committee at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as it declares a “zero tolerance” stance on corruption.  

Following an amendment of the bank’s enforcement policy and procedures last year, appeals from the commissioner’s decision will go to the enforcement committee, an independent tribunal with two members from within the bank and three from outside, including Fortier.

Yves Fortier QC is a sole practitioner. He practises law in Montréal as an independent arbitrator. He also has offices in Toronto and London. He is recognised as one of the top arbitrators in the world and is listed as a leading expert in international arbitration in the principal European and North American expert guides.
