To mark the 5th anniversary of 20 Essex Street opening in Singapore, members hosted a sanctions seminar and cocktail event at Maxwell Chambers in May. Duncan Matthews QC, Andrew Baker QC, Sara Masters QC, Penelope Nevill, Nakul Dewan and Michael Lee shared the benefit of their experience in recent economic and trade sanctions related instructions in a session titled ‘Navigating Your Route Through Sanctions’, to a packed house.
The topic is a hot issue in Asia and attracted a full house comprising 145 delegates from across the legal comm unity in Singapore, including from international and Singapore law firms, as well as from some of the major corporates that have their regional headquarters in Singapore. The Ministry of Law and Attorney Generals Chambers, SIAC, ICC and WIPO were also in attendance.
