We are pleased to announce that Kevin Lee has this week joined Twenty Essex following his successful completion of a reduced period of pupillage with chambers.
Kevin specialises in public international law, international arbitration, and litigation. He has extensive experience in advocacy before both domestic courts and international tribunals, across a broad range of state-to-state, investor–state and commercial disputes.
Prior to his move to chambers, Kevin was a director at Drew & Napier, where he practised as a Singapore qualified disputes lawyer. He has now commenced full-time practice as a barrister with Twenty Essex, based in Singapore with a professional footing in London.
In a joint message, Philip Edey KC and Charles Kimmins KC, co-heads of chambers, commented:
“We are very pleased to welcome Kevin as a new member of Twenty Essex. He is an experienced and highly regarded advocate whose skills and knowledge will further bolster chambers’ international disputes expertise. With Kevin joining a number of new tenants and lateral hires over the last couple of years, Twenty Essex continues to expand its outstanding counsel offering at all levels, including those with particular experience of working in south-east Asia.”
Kevin Lee added:
“In the areas of law in which I practise, Twenty Essex’s global reputation and standing is peerless. Having previously acted alongside members of Twenty Essex in several inter-state and investor–state disputes over the years, it is a privilege to now be joining them in chambers.
“I am immensely grateful for the friendship and support of friends and colleagues at Drew & Napier, and look forward to continue working together with them in the years to come.”
