Daniel is developing a broad practice across Chambers’ core areas of practice, in particular shipping, commodities, fraud, and international commercial arbitration and litigation. He is a dual-qualified English barrister and New York attorney.
Daniel holds degrees from Durham University (law), the University of Cambridge (LLM), and Harvard Law School (LLM).
Prior to joining Chambers, Daniel was a research assistant at the Law Commission of England and Wales, where he worked on the Commission’s review of the Arbitration Act 1996 (the genesis of the Arbitration Act 2025). Daniel also spent a year working as a paralegal at law firm Pogust Goodhead and interned in WilmerHale’s International Arbitration Practice Group.

- Drafted (as a pupil) a skeleton in an LMAA arbitration concerning claims under a charterparty for unpaid hire, vessel damage, and a shortfall of bunkers on redelivery.
- Drafted (as a pupil) pleadings in an LMAA arbitration claim for general average contributions following a ship grounding in the Suez Canal.
- Drafted (as a pupil) pleadings in an LMAA arbitration concerning a dispute under a shipbuilding contract for the construction of a luxury yacht.
- Assisted (as a pupil) with preparing advice on the merits of a claim for damages for loss of cargo arising out of a fire onboard a container ship.
