Andrew Ayres KC and Josephine Davies KC will be at the ThoughtLeaders4’s ‘FIRE International: Vilamoura’ conference on the 15 – 17 May 2024 at Anantara Hotel, Vilamoura, Portugal.
This asset recovery event brings together top international experts who will delve into technical issues that commonly surface in fraud disputes.
Andrew and Josephine will be leading the session on “Whose Fraud is it Anyway? Attribution and Related Topics” with Mehmet Karagoz (Greenberg Traurig (UK)), chaired by Leyza Florin Blanco (Sequor Law) and Rick Brown (HFW) on 16 May (Day 2) at 15:50 local time.
They will examine questions of attributed and secondary liability for civil fraud, in the company, corporate group and partnership contexts. In an era where individual perpetrators of fraud have often escaped the net or have no assets, the question of wider responsibility is sometimes the most important issue.
