UK accession to the Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements

Angharad Parry has published an article for Lexis®PSL titled ‘UK accession to the Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements’. The UK has been a party to the Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreement due to being an EU Member State, but has recently entered an instrument of accession to the Convention in its own right. The convention will be of importance following the UK leaving the EU on 29 March 2019 to assist in the determination of jurisdiction and the enforcement of judgments. This article considers the UK’s accession to the convention in its own right and its potential impact.

Angharad specialises in advisory and advocacy work in a wide range of commercial and private international law disputes concerning litigation and arbitration (both domestic and international).

This article was first published by Lexis®PSL on 9 January 2019.
